Why I Blog?

Ok cool story, so in January this school called Morning Star came to Wesley and had a conference for us. Well during worship one of the students from Morning Star got a prophetic word for my friend Addison who was sitting next to me. So she went up on stage and pointed to Addison and asked him to stand up, well it seriously looked looked like she was pointing at me and I was pretty sure we had some eye contact going on, so I stood up.. only to get denied.. Slightly embarrassing, I guess I just really wanted to get prophesy thrown my way, but I totally got shut down. So after Addison got called like a revolutionist and all this awesome stuff, which he totally is btw, one of the directors from Morning Star got the microphone and said that he had a word for the really enthusiastic kid in the blue shirt (ME). So I stood up and got a sympathetic applause from the crowd because I didn't get left out. The first thing he asked me was, "Do you blog??" and I said "umm no.." Then he went on to say that I was someone that is good at teaching, communication, and getting my point across to people and that is why he wondered if I was a blogger. So this is when the seed was planted.

On a side note the other time I had prophetic ministry with Morning Star a girl asked me if I played an instrument, or if I wrote music and at the time I really didn't. So I said, "well i try to play the guitar", and she told me that she thought that God was telling her that He was going to use me in that, and that I should keep trying. So a week later I got a text from a friend asking me if I wanted to help lead worship at the youth group at her church. So I said sure! I'll try out! I ended up getting the job even though I only knew one song at the time ha. Adam Greenwald one of my many roommates started leading worship for this youth group, I would play the guitar and he would sing. I was learning as I would go and God was fulfilling everything he promised all the while. We kept getting better and better and now we have been playing for the youth group for about 3 and a half months, we lead worship for the main service at the church (ChapelWood UMC), and we started leading worship at Herty Field on North Campus (which is a whole other story).

Sorry that was a big side note, but that was my first encounter with prophetic words for me, and God was totally faithful, so now I decided to see what God is going to do with this. If God thinks that I should start a blog then I'm going to start blog.

So I wanted to start this blog to provide a testimony of what the Lord is doing in my life and to keep people that have invested in me and are currently helping me financially, through prayer and in other ways updated on how the Lord is working in me and around me.
